Instructions for Authors
Thank you for considering Vanchapo Health Science Journal (VHSJ) as the platform to publish your research. Please carefully read and follow the guidelines outlined below to ensure that your manuscript meets our submission requirements.
1. Scope of the Journal
VHSJ welcomes original research articles, review papers, and clinical studies in the field of health. We encourage submissions related to public health, health promotion and education, clinical research, health informatics and technology, health behavior and psychology, and health systems and policy.
2. Manuscript Preparation
- The manuscript should be written in English and prepared according to the VHSJ template, which is available for download on our website. Please use Times New Roman font, size 12, and double-line spacing throughout the document.
- The manuscript should include a title page with the article title, list of authors with their affiliations, corresponding author's contact details, and a short running title (less than 50 characters).
- The abstract should provide a concise summary of the study's objective, methods, results, and conclusion (maximum 250 words).
- Keywords: Include a list of 3 to 6 keywords or key phrases that accurately represent the content of your manuscript.
- The main body of the manuscript should be organized into sections such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
- Use the Vancouver citation style for references, and ensure that all sources cited in the text are included in the reference list.
3. Submission Process
- Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through our online submission system. Please visit our website and follow the instructions provided to create an author account and submit your manuscript.
- During the submission process, you will be asked to provide information about the manuscript, including the article type, title, abstract, keywords, and the names and affiliations of all authors.
- Supplementary materials, such as data sets or multimedia files, can be submitted as separate files if applicable.
4. Peer Review Process
- All manuscripts submitted to VHSJ undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the highest standards of quality and scientific integrity.
- The review process typically takes 2 (two) weeks. Authors will be notified of the editorial decision, which may include acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript.
- Authors should address any comments or suggestions provided by the reviewers and editors during the revision process.
5. Article Publication Charges (APC)
- VHSJ does not charge any fees for article submission. However, if your manuscript is accepted for publication, a nominal Article Publication Charge (APC) of Rp. 100,000,- will be levied to support the publication process. Detailed information about the APC payment process will be provided upon acceptance of the manuscript.
6. Copyright and Licensing
- Authors are required to transfer the copyright of their accepted manuscripts to VHSJ. A copyright transfer agreement form will be provided to the corresponding author upon acceptance of the manuscript.
- VHSJ publishes articles under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as proper attribution is given to the original authors.
